WOW...

Today I have been highlighted on the wonderful blog Quilt story, http://www.quiltstory.blogspot.com/ . If only you could see my smile right now, I think it will be their all day. :) I have had the opportunity to read so many wonderful stories behind the production of quilts, and it now feels like such an honor to share the story behind one of my quilts. I hope you enjoy it.

For almost everyone here is new, please realize that I'm new to blogging. But the greatest thing about it meeting new friends and sharing experiences. I look forward to hearing from you. May you have a wonderful day!

The end of summer vacation...

Time is a tricky thing. It seems it was just the beginning of summer and I was just beginning working on this. So it's kind of fitting that summer is coming to a close and this quilt is finished. Although it will not remain with me. It is being donated to http://www.cpadsag.org/ for their silent auction during the September buddy walk.

I have enjoyed summer... the time with the boys as we went to the pool, 4-H, and explored the state parks. I suppose with the start of school next week it's only fitting that we begin a new chapter and new creative adventures.

dig in

Digging in and getting started is always the hardest part for me. But once I'm started look out...

Around here it has been the dog days of summer. HOT, HOT, HOT! The last thing on my mind was going out to weed at anytime of the day. My lack of intrest shows. For the one flower bed looked more like a jungle than anything else.

Today was the day for weeding. As I was working along to remove all of the weeds, it felt more like a game of I spy. For I found ...

I'm not sure if anyone else around here noticed that the bed is a bit more cleared. But I know that it's been done. And I feel all the better for getting it done. Well, maybe not done...better!

I have gone to clean up and left my mess to my composting friends, they love it.
