I think I like the idea of being a farmer's wife more than I would like the reality. Especially as this past week I have spent more time with my tissue box than anyone else.
Thankyou weeping cherry tree. Your bloosms are beautiful. But you reak havoc on my sinuses!
Anyway I have decided to start a new project. A sampler quilt from : "The Farmer's Wife"
The blocks finish at 6" so it's a nice little project to work on for a while. I do have a few complaints about the book. But I will share those for another day. At this point I have 5 blocks done out of 111, so I may be at this for a while. But if you look at mine. You will see a huge difference.
They are bright and colorful. They are more representative of me, a rural/suburban wife, a happy go lucky wife, maybe today! an urban ... humm, I guess there really isn't a good classification for me and my life. Maybe that's why it's called a sampler?
I really like the bright, cheery colors you are using. You will have an amazing quilt when it is finished :)
ReplyDeleteBeautiful cherry tree but I know what you mean about allergies.
Thats going to be a lovely quilt!!
ReplyDeleteYou will be busy for a while, but that will be one lovely quilt when it is done. I seem to always have a couple of long term quilts going in among my "quick and easy" ones.
ReplyDeleteStopping in from Quiltstory. My link is http://carolburris.com/quilting/half-square-triangles/
Wow- that will be a beautiful quilt! I like your fabrics so far too.
ReplyDeleteThose are really complicated for 6" inch blocks. Very nice! I like the colors too. I used to wish I was a farmer's wife - actually I wished I was the farmer. But I think I like the idea better than the reality too. My little garden is more than enough work for me now. I do wish I could have chickens though.
ReplyDeleteHi Charity,
ReplyDeleteI love your sampler squares...and I love the brighter colors too. I'm visiting for Fabric Tuesday. I'd love to have you come by for a visit.
Pink Sparkles for your day,
Stephanie ♥
